Symposium on New Media and Cultural Practices of Youth
An online symposium will be organized on Monday, September 13, 2021 in order to share and discuss with the respective stakeholders to produce an idea about the results of the research project “An Analysis of New Media and Cultural Practices of Youth in Turkey” coordinated by Asst. Prof. İrem İnceoğlu at Kadir Has University with the support of TÜBİTAK, which covers fieldworks in 8 provinces from 7 regions.
During this event intended to get a better understanding of the struggles, dreams and expectations of the young adults in Turkey of various backgrounds in connection with the new media, in addition to the project presentation by the project team, academicians, media professionals, representatives from non-governmental organizations and policymakers, each is a specialist in their respective areas, as well as young people will participate in the sessions as a speaker / debater. The symposium will focus on the following topics: the experience and practices of young people about the new media; the youth and political polarization (politization); the youth, body and privacy.
